WILDLIFE
The Falklands are full of diverse and beautiful species of wildlife, particularly penguins and seals. And because of the seclusion of the area, the wildlife on the Islands is as curious of you as you are of it! Sometimes the wildlife, particularly the penguins, comes closer than you could imagine. In this category we are looking for a shot that captures the spirit of the Islands' curious residents.

LANDSCAPES (including coastal scenery)
Travelling is all about views - stunning landscapes that simply take your breath away whatever the reason. The 770 plus islands that make up the Falklands have ample amounts of both coast and countryside. This makes the Islands' landscapes interesting and diverse backdrop to shots or a beautiful subject. From sunrise to sunset the scenery provides bold colours and striking views.

HERITAGE
The Falklands conflict of 1982 has left the landscape with memorials and battle scars but in this category we are also looking for shots which embrace the other side of Falklands history and heritage. The typically British feel of red post boxes and Union Jacks, or evidence of the Islands' maritime history and life as it used to be, are the perfect way to illustrate the fascinating culture and heritage of the Falklands.

ISLAND LIFE (including events)
The Falkland Islands are a unique place to live and the lifestyle on the Islands echoes that of a time gone by in the UK, with distinctive events and customs of its own. We are looking for a shot that embodies Falklands life, whether this is the May Ball, Sports Week or simply a shot illustrating what makes life in the Islands so special.

A FACE FROM THE PLACE
With around 2500 residents on the island and 85% of those living in Stanley, the Falklands folk are a friendly lot and we know that meeting new people is one of the highlights of any trip. We are looking for a 'people/person shot' of a Falklands resident, but please gain permission!
