Pebble Island boasts a comfortable lodge and is around an hour’s flying time from Stanley in the north west of the archipelago. The island is home to 42 species of birds including 4 types of penguin. Scenically attractive, grassy plains with ponds and wetlands in the east contrast with the moorland and mountains of the western side. Large expanses of sandy beaches include locations where the semi-precious Falkland pebbles can be found. Rich in history from the 1982 conflict with memorials and cairns around the island. Detailed tours are provided; walking opportunities abound and a drop-off service is easily arranged.
